Ms. Thoa is an expert in sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation, recognized for her innovative work in the Mekong Delta. She has a strong track record of leading green practices and community empowerment initiatives. As a leader in eco-friendly development and an active participant in the Asean Plus Expert group, her experience aligns well with the goals of the Bamboo Village Trust (BVT) programs in Vietnam. Her dedication to environmental sustainability and community development positions her as an ideal candidate to support BVT's objectives.
Ms. Thoa founded the Thuan Thien Agriculture Community and serves as the CEO of ABAVINA Co., Ltd., aiming to build a society where individuals are self-sufficient and live in harmony with nature. Under her leadership, ABAVINA has been recognized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment as one of 15 exemplary stories in Vietnam for implementing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from 2018 to 2023. She was the youngest female entrepreneur candidate for the 15th National Assembly. Since 2010, she has been involved in training for environmentally friendly agricultural development and climate change adaptation in the Mekong Delta, working with projects promoting organic certification and responsible shrimp farming, among others, with organizations like Mekong Organics PTY LTD, Minh Phu Seafood Corporation, WWF Vietnam, and HEINEKEN Vietnam.
Ms. Thoa has dedicated herself to community development and health education since 2010, establishing NGUYỄN THỊ KIM THOA in 2017 for natural agriculture consultancy. She innovated antibiotic-free feed from agricultural by-products (2016-2017) and launched the Rainbow Nutrition Shop (2015-2016) for kindergartens. Her research from 2010 to 2016 spanned healthcare, vocational training for disadvantaged children, poverty reduction, and women's empowerment, leading projects on domestic violence law implementation and child nutrition with moringa products, supported by various organizations.
