MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN
KOSIN UNIVERSITY, REPUBLIC OF KOREA
AND
NGUYEN TAT THANH UNIVERSITY
Kosin University and Nguyen Tat Thanh University establish this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster international cooperation in education, research and cultural exchange. Both institutions seek to develop mutually beneficial programs for their students, faculty, departments, and research institutes within provision of this MOU.
1. This MOU represents a commitment by both institutions to enter into discussion and negotiation concerning the activities listed below. The two institutions affirm that these discussions would conclude in various agreements that are mutually beneficial.
Potential programs and activities between the two institutions may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Development of joint academic courses and programs in full compliance to the accreditation and professional requirements of both institutions;
- Transfer of academic credit-bearing courses based on mutual transparency of course content and faculty qualification;
- Exchange of graduate and undergraduate students for study and research;
- Exchange of faculty for instruction, research and lectures;
- Exchange of educational materials, research projects, publications and library materials; and
- Joint conferences, seminars and workshops.
2. Proposals including suggestions not reflected in this MOU, may be discussed and implemented on the basis of the specific agreements to be signed by both institutions.
3. The parties may review the MOU before the end of the specified period to evaluate the progress and quality of cooperation and may extend it upon the written consent of both parties. If the MOU is not renewed, it will conclude at the end of the specified period, or after activities in progress have concluded.
4. Either party with a minimum of 6 months written notice can terminate this MOU. Activities in progress at the time of termination of this MOU shall be allowed to conclude unless otherwise agreed by both parties.
5. Each party shall designate a person or office to serve as liaison for implementing this MOU.
6. This MOU is to facilitate and develop a mutually beneficial educational relationship. It is not an agency contract, nor is it legally binding.
7. It is understood that this agreement will be implemented by the participating institutions. The MOU shall be effect from the date of its signing and be valid for the duration of five years from that date, and will be automatically renewed on an annual basis thereafter, unless terminated or replaced with a new Memorandum of Understanding.
